Privacy and data use
This Privacy Policy explains how GradVix handles personal data when you visit gradvix.com, use its contact form or interact with its career and study-abroad content.
1. Scope and who operates the Website
This policy applies to the public content website at gradvix.com, including its articles, category archives, informational pages and general contact form. In this policy, “GradVix”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of this Website.
This policy does not govern the account, resume, document-upload, AI-generation, subscription or payment features available through app.gradvix.com. Review the GradVix app Privacy Policy before creating an app account or submitting career documents there.
This policy is intended to describe our current practices and should be read subject to applicable law, including provisions of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection framework as they come into force. It is not a legal opinion about your individual rights in a particular jurisdiction.
2. Personal data and technical information we may collect
Contact and enquiry information
If you use the contact form, we may receive your name, email address, subject, message and any other information you choose to include. A technical report may also include a page URL, browser, device details or a privacy-safe screenshot.
Website and server information
Hosting, security, caching and measurement systems may process an IP address, browser type, operating system, approximate location, referrer, requested URL, timestamps, device information, cookie identifiers and error or security logs.
Follow-up records
If we reply to an enquiry, we may retain the correspondence, internal review notes and the evidence needed to assess a correction, technical problem, privacy request or relevant business enquiry.
Sensitive documents
The public Website does not ask you to send passwords, payment-card details, Aadhaar or PAN numbers, passports, bank records, medical records, transcripts, visa files or complete resumes through the general contact form.
GradVix has disabled public comments on its articles and does not currently provide public user registration on gradvix.com. The default WordPress descriptions of comment profiles, Gravatar images and visitor accounts therefore do not describe the normal public use of this Website.
3. Why we use information
| Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|
| Operate and deliver the Website | Load pages, maintain caching, prevent errors and make content available across devices. |
| Respond to requests | Assess a correction, answer an editorial enquiry, review a privacy request or investigate a technical report. |
| Protect the Website | Detect abuse, spam, malicious requests, unauthorised access and operational failures. |
| Measure and improve content | Understand which pages are discovered, how the Website performs and where navigation or content may need improvement. |
| Maintain records | Document corrections, disputes, security events, consent or request handling where reasonably necessary. |
| Meet legal obligations | Respond to valid legal process, preserve information required by law or protect legal rights. |
We process personal data only for lawful purposes. Depending on the context, processing may be based on your consent or voluntary submission, the action you asked us to take, Website security and administration, or a legal obligation. You may choose not to submit the contact form, although we may then be unable to investigate or respond to the request.
4. Cookies, analytics and measurement
Cookies are small data files stored through a browser. Similar technologies may use local storage, tags or pseudonymous identifiers. GradVix may use the following categories:
- Essential and technical storage: needed for security, caching, load delivery, form operation and basic Website functionality.
- Performance and analytics storage: used, where enabled, to understand visits, sessions, device categories, approximate geography, traffic sources and page interaction.
- Preference storage: used where a feature needs to remember a visitor choice.
Site Kit by Google is active on the Website to connect Google site-management services. Depending on the current configuration, these services may include Search Console and Google Analytics. Search Console primarily provides aggregated information about how pages appear in Google Search. If Google Analytics measurement is enabled, Google may process pseudonymous identifiers, session statistics, approximate location, browser and device information, page views and related events. Google Analytics commonly uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id>.
Google processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. Review the Google Privacy Policy for more information.
You can block or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking essential storage may affect Website operation. Analytics and cookie choices may also be available through a consent interface where one is displayed. Browser-level “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across services, so use the available browser and consent controls.
5. Contact-form submissions
The Contact GradVix page uses Fluent Forms. When you submit the form, the information may be stored in the Website database and delivered to authorised email inboxes or administrators according to the form configuration.
Use the form for Website corrections, technical problems, privacy requests, general feedback and relevant editorial enquiries. It is not a secure document-upload portal, emergency service, job-placement service or personalised visa, legal or financial advisory channel.
6. Service providers and when information may be disclosed
GradVix may allow carefully selected service providers to process limited information on its behalf where needed to operate the Website. Categories may include:
- website hosting, database, backup and content-delivery providers;
- security, caching, performance and error-monitoring services;
- contact-form and email-delivery infrastructure;
- analytics, search-performance and site-management services;
- professional advisers or technical contractors subject to appropriate access controls; and
- government, regulatory, judicial or law-enforcement authorities where disclosure is lawfully required.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud or abuse, protect users or the Website, enforce the Terms of Use, establish or defend legal claims, or complete a business reorganisation subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
GradVix does not sell or rent personal data. A link to another website or service does not mean GradVix controls that service’s collection, use or sharing practices.
7. How long we keep information
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, Website security, dispute handling, legal compliance and backup integrity.
| Information | General retention approach |
|---|---|
| Contact-form and email correspondence | Kept while the enquiry, correction, privacy request or technical issue is being assessed, and for a reasonable period afterward where a record is needed. |
| Security and server logs | Retained according to operational, hosting and security requirements, then deleted, rotated or aggregated. |
| Analytics and search-performance information | Retained according to the configured service settings and the provider’s retention controls. |
| Backups | May remain for a limited backup cycle after deletion from an active system and are overwritten according to the backup schedule. |
We may retain a minimal record of a request or restriction where needed to show that it was handled, prevent repeated abuse or comply with law. Information may be anonymised or aggregated when individual identification is no longer necessary.
8. Security
GradVix uses administrative and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These may include HTTPS, access controls, software updates, limited administrative permissions, backups, caching and security monitoring.
No website, transmission or storage method is completely secure. Do not send information through the public form that would create serious harm if exposed. If you believe a GradVix page or system has a security issue, use the contact form and provide only the details needed to investigate it.
9. International processing
Some hosting, analytics, email, security or other service providers may process information in countries outside your state or country of residence. Their locations and subcontractors can change. Where required, GradVix will use appropriate contractual, technical or legal safeguards and will assess cross-border processing under applicable law.
10. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on the law that applies to you and its commencement or implementation status, you may have rights to:
- request information about personal data processed in connection with your interaction;
- ask for inaccurate or incomplete information to be corrected or completed;
- request erasure where the information is no longer needed and no lawful reason requires retention;
- withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the applicable basis;
- raise a grievance about how a request or personal-data issue was handled;
- nominate another individual to exercise applicable rights in the event of death or incapacity, where provided by law; and
- control cookies or analytics storage through available consent and browser settings.
A request may require reasonable verification so information is not disclosed or deleted at the request of an unauthorised person. We may decline or limit a request where permitted or required by law, including where information is necessary for security, legal claims, compliance or the rights of another person.
To make a request, use Contact GradVix with the subject Privacy / Data Request. State the service involved, the request and the email address used in the earlier contact. Do not attach identity documents unless GradVix specifically explains why verification is necessary and provides an appropriate method.
11. Children and students under 18
GradVix publishes educational and career-readiness information that may be useful to students, including some readers under 18. The public Website is not designed to create child accounts or knowingly collect detailed personal profiles from children.
A user under 18 should use the Website with a parent or guardian’s guidance and should not submit personal data through the general contact form without parent or guardian involvement. Do not submit a child’s school records, identity documents, financial records or other sensitive information. If you believe a child’s personal data was submitted inappropriately, contact GradVix so the issue can be reviewed.
12. External links, embedded content and separate services
GradVix articles link to employers, universities, regulators, scholarship providers, governments, Google services, career platforms and other external websites. An external service may collect information under its own privacy policy when you open it, play embedded media, sign in, submit a form or make a payment.
GradVix does not control third-party cookies, security, retention or account practices. Check the destination domain and its privacy terms before entering information. This policy also does not apply to content copied, cached or republished by search engines, social networks or third-party services.
13. Changes to this policy
GradVix may update this policy when the Website, service providers, legal requirements or data practices change. The effective and last-reviewed dates at the top show the current published version. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Website where appropriate.
Your continued use of informational pages does not replace consent where the law requires a separate affirmative choice. Any consent request will be handled through the relevant form, setting or interface.
14. Privacy contact and grievance route
For a privacy question, access or deletion request, cookie concern or complaint about personal data on gradvix.com, use the Contact GradVix form and choose or write the subject Privacy / Data Request.
Include the relevant page or interaction, the action requested and enough information to locate the record. GradVix will assess the request and may ask focused follow-up questions. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, payment-card details or unredacted identity documents.
If applicable law provides a further regulatory or complaint route, you may use that route after first giving GradVix a reasonable opportunity to address the grievance.
