ATS Systems Guide: Workday, Taleo, SuccessFactors & Naukri

Published 15 August 2026ATS application-system hubWorkday · Oracle Taleo · SAP SuccessFactors · Naukri

Workday, Oracle Taleo, SAP SuccessFactors and Naukri do not process every candidate through one identical “ATS algorithm.” Each platform can combine resume files, structured candidate data, application fields, recruiter search and optional matching capabilities differently. The safest applicant strategy is therefore to build a readable resume, keep structured data accurate, review parsed fields and understand which system workflow you are actually using.

Quick answer: use the system-specific guides below when an employer or recruiting platform is known. Do not optimise for a fictional universal pass score. Optimise for accurate extraction, clear role evidence, consistent application data and the genuine requirements of the vacancy.

Compare the four application-system workflows

System Main applicant-side distinction Recruiter/search distinction GradVix guide
Workday Recruiting Resume parsing can populate application data; employers configure which application sections appear and are required. Optional skills and HiredScore capabilities can add matching/prioritisation behavior in configured environments. Workday ATS Resume
Oracle Taleo Configurable application flows can combine resume upload/parsing with profile, experience, education, questionnaires and attachments. Recruiter search can use keywords, structured fields and configured resume-attachment search; conceptual search can exist where enabled. Taleo ATS Resume
SAP SuccessFactors Resume parsing can populate Candidate Profile fields; applicants should verify extracted profile information. General Candidate Search covers candidate-profile and resume data; optional Premium AI adds separate skills extraction/matching capabilities. SAP SuccessFactors ATS Resume
Naukri / Resdex / Response Manager The searchable Naukri profile and uploaded resume support recruiter discovery, while applying to a posted job creates a separate response-management route. Resdex uses recruiter keywords and filters; Response Manager separately supports applicant filtering and recommendation workflows. Naukri RMS Resume

What is common across all four?

Readable document structure

Use clear headings, explicit employers/titles/dates, normal text and a predictable reading order. Avoid hiding essential information inside graphics or decorative elements.

Structured-data review

Where a platform parses or pre-fills information, inspect the resulting fields. A visually correct PDF does not guarantee that employer names, titles, dates or education were extracted correctly.

Truthful keyword relevance

Use role terminology that genuinely reflects your skills, projects and work. Repeating unsupported keywords does not create real evidence and can weaken human review.

Employer configuration matters

Two employers using the same recruiting platform can require different application fields, questionnaires, attachments and screening steps.

Important: a third-party resume checker—including GradVix—cannot reproduce every employer’s private configuration, recruiter query, screening rule or optional enterprise product. Use a checker to improve job-description alignment and evidence, not as a guaranteed employer ATS simulator.

Which guide should you open?

Applying through Workday

Use this when the application is hosted in Workday and you need guidance on parsing, autofill, application fields, Skills Cloud or HiredScore distinctions.

Applying through Oracle Taleo

Use this for Taleo candidate profiles, configurable application flows, attachments, recruiter search and parsing.

Applying through SuccessFactors

Use this for Candidate Profile data, resume parsing, Candidate Search and optional SAP AI-assisted skills workflows.

Optimising for Naukri recruiter discovery

Use this to understand Resdex search, structured Naukri profile fields, direct job applications and Response Manager.

Frequently asked questions

Do Workday, Taleo and SuccessFactors use the same ATS rules?
No. They are different recruiting systems with different data models and configurable features. Individual employers can also configure the same platform differently.
Is there one ATS-friendly resume format for every system?
No universal template is guaranteed for every employer. A clean text-based document with standard headings, clear chronology and straightforward formatting is a defensible starting point, followed by review of the live application.
Does every ATS score a resume?
No. Public product documentation commonly describes parsing, candidate data, recruiter search, application fields and optional matching features. That does not establish one universal score used by every employer.
Why does GradVix have separate system guides?
Because the useful applicant advice differs by system. Workday parsing/autofill, Taleo candidate search, SuccessFactors Candidate Profile behavior and Naukri Resdex discovery are not interchangeable workflows.
